Easter is a great time of the year to come to London for a short break. If you are going to be in London over Easter, and perhaps staying in one of our Serviced Apartments you will have a chance to make the most of the beginning of spring in this wonderful city.
There are plenty of Easter activities for families across North London – check out listings sites, such as familiesonline.co.uk, which will have all the details.
For instance, if your kids like baby animals, take them to visit the rare breeds farm at Aldenham Country Park. They could also play Pooh Sticks in the 100 Aker Wood (and meet Winnie the Pooh himself at the weekend) and have lots of woodland adventures. In addition, the Park has a specially adapted play area for children with disabilities and special needs.
Stately homes all over the country will be opening their doors in time for Easter. English Heritage’s Kenwood House in Hampstead will also be holding an Easter Adventure Quest between 25th and 28th March. Kids can look for clues as they go round the house to win a chocolate reward.
If you’re feeling adventurous, drive a few miles down the M25 to the White Water Centre where you can try white water rafting on an Olympic course or, in the school holidays, they hold less frenetic paddling boarding sessions on the family lake.
If you’re pining for winter (or it’s raining), snuggle into your padded jacket for skiing or snowboarding at the popular Snow Centre in Hemel Hempstead.
This is before you even begin to look at the theatres, bars, restaurants or nightclubs for the grown-ups’ entertainment… The main problem will be fitting it all in!
