If you’re staying in one of our North London serviced apartments whilst on business, you will probably want to entertain your clients at some point.
Entertaining clients is expensive, these days, your expense account may not stretch to Central London prices, but you don’t have to go into the capital in order to go to town! We’ve put together a guide to places outside Central London where you can spoil your clients… at the same time as keeping your accounts department happy.
Golf at The Grove
For golf players, what better way to entertain them than on a championship golf course. Judged to be one of the top 100 golf courses in the UK and Ireland, unusually, The Grove’s golf course is not a members’ club, meaning anyone can play at any time. And if you have a group of 16 or more golfers eager to get onto the greens, organise a corporate golf package.
Relaxing at the spa
If your clients would prefer to be less active, they may appreciate a bit of relaxation and pampering. The luxury spa at The Grove is just down the road – maybe combine it with a golf game, or offer it as an alternative to those people who, like Winston Churchill, think golf is a “good walk spoiled”!
Alternatively, Sopwell House is just outside the beautiful town of St Albans. It’s slightly further afield and although it comes with a lower price tag, it still offers the kind of luxury experience your clients will appreciate.
Premier League football
If your clients are footie fans, treat them to hospitality and a Premier League match in the luxury, refurbished hospitality suites at Watford FC’s Vicarage Road stadium. They offer various packages from casual dining to an executive box, all with high quality, freshly prepared food, and great views of the match.
Everyone is fed up with how slow London traffic has become, so if your clients are speed freaks, Drift Limits near Hemel Hempstead could offer a fast and furious fun day out – whether it’s putting their foot down in a Formula Renault car, getting to grips with a bit of stunt driving, or finally getting the opportunity to get behind the wheel of a Lamborghini or Aston Martin (one can but dream!).
Neighbouring the beautiful Aldenham Country Park between Borehamwood and Watford is the London Elstree Aerodrome. Many of the companies based at the aerodrome offer flying experiences, so if your clients have a head for heights, give them a great view of the park, North London and south Hertfordshire.
We hope this gives you a few ideas for entertaining clients that go beyond taking your clients out for a meal – although the North London area is chock-a-block full of amazing restaurants to suit every taste and budget. Check out the local info tab of each apartment description for ideas on where to go and what to do.
